Did having children put a dent in your travel lifestyle? For me, traveling to see my family is as required as brushing my teeth. Even at my age, I need my mommy! I have been doing this travel for more than 15 years, first alone, then with my first daughter, and now with both. It’s a time where four generations of girls can get together for some quality girl time. My grandmother held my daughter Amani, beaming with pride, at 103. Those are the memories that last forever, and this is what drives me to get on that plane – no regrets! I don’t defeat myself thinking about all that could happen on my trip. Instead, I prepare myself.
As a mom that works outside of the home, I struggle to create a balance between home and work. I have learned how to maximize every second with my children. However, learning isn’t something you have to force in your schedule. It can be fun and easy, especially if you start early.
Welcome to our playroom! I love living on the East Coast where we can enjoy the change of seasons. There is also nothing more satisfying and cozy than being tucked away in your home during a torrential rainstorm or blustery snowfall. With hot showers, fresh fuzzy socks and pajamas you will be sure to find us in our basement playroom having fun!
